Now
you have your independence it can also be a costly issue. The
cost of car insurance is based on not only the car you are driving but the
actual drivers. New drivers may find that the cost of insurance is high in the
first few years until you can prove that you have reached a high level of
experience. Costs are also based on age and therefore a younger inexperienced
driver will have to pay a high premium. So
what can you do about this? Pass
Plus is a six module course designed by the DSA to help achieve a higher
level of experience. The modules consist of the following: ·
Module 1 – Town/city driving ·
Module 2 – All weather driving ·
Module 3 – Out of town/rural roads ·
Module 4 – Night driving ·
Module 5 – Dual carriageways ·
Module 6 – Motorways The
cost of Pass Plus is £120.00 and this will be taken
over a minimum of six hours. This can be completed in 1 day or over a course
of several days depending on how you wish to complete this. Once completed
you are sent a certificate which can then be handed to your insurance
company. You may wish to check with your insurance company to see for
yourself who much this course may save you long term before making the
decision to complete this course. |
